To this end, the group relies on a cascading mode of operation. A core group is supplemented by topic-specific satellite groups, which in turn organize events. The group supports activities that contribute to more educational equity. With the \u2018Talent Scouting\u2019 initiative, TU Dortmund University and Fachhochschule Dortmund – University of Applied Sciences and Arts have established an effective support instrument that shows young people educational paths, regardless of their social backgrounds. Other componets include projects that support refugees in finding their paths in our educational landscape (e.g. TU Dortmund University\u2019s collaboration with \u2018Adam’s Corner\u2019; initiative \u2018Fachhochschule Dortmund – University of Applied Sciences and Arts helps\u2019).<\/p>\n

\n- Transition from school to<\/strong> university and networking in dual training.<\/li>\n
- Communicating science to children and young people<\/strong> in all parts of the city.<\/li>\n
- MINT promotion<\/strong>, a. in the context of the joint activities of Fachhochschule Dortmund – University of Applied Sciences and Arts and TU Dortmund University in the context of the Ruhr Education Initiative. Discussions are also underway to encourage greater participation in the World Robot Olympiad and to set up a future workshop on „Tomorrow’s Professions“.\n
<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n- In the area of political and cultural education, the teacher training at TU Dortmund University, the city’s memorial work and other stakeholders will be linked together. In addition, a stronger involvement of the humanities and cultural sciences is sought through projects with the theaters and museums.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

The artistic fields at the universities are to become more visible. Likewise, the literary scene plays an important role and it is planned that cultural studies will be more present in the city. Formats such as „City Talks in the Museum“, „Image and Sound“ in the City Church of St. Reinoldi and the lecture series of the Historical Society show that there is an audience for this. A series of events taking place at extraoridinary locations will bring science to the various parts of the city.<\/p>\n
Another focus is on the responsible use of digitization. This also applies to digital cultural offerings in particular. Here, exchange formats between the various stakeholders are becoming increasingly important. The interlinking of university activities, projects in cultural institutions and the independent scene is an urgent topic here.<\/p>\n
Ethical questions arise, among other things, in connection with the scientific fields of competence of the Science Master Plan 2.0. The topic of artificial intelligence can be cited as an example here. The topic of „AI and ethics“ has already been discussed at the Science Conference 2020. Ethical issues are also linked to the other fields of competence (educational justice, energy transition, etc). Formats are being developed in which these questions can be addressed.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Dortmunder U\u2019 has more and more become a creative hub for central discussions and events. Programmatically, other locations for the various thematic \u2018satellites\u2019 will be expanded at the same time.<\/p>\n
Supraregional visibility and networking will be increased through the design of and participation in annual themes. These can result from local major themes (e.g. IGA \u2013 international Gardening Exhibition \u2013 2027) or the nationally proclaimed \u2018science years\u2019.\u00a0 Participation in events on the topic of „1700 years of Jewish life in Germany“ has already been agreed in the focus group.<\/p>\n
The aim is to improve the connection of existing activities and to make the individual institutions more visible. Existing activities, for example in the area of science for children and young people, are to be specified and related to each other in the sense of a network map.<\/p>\n
It is also planned to engage more intensely with civil society as well as cultural institutions. As a format, the focus group plans to establish a round table „Science City and Cultural Metropolis“ and to bring together the various institutions.<\/p>\n

For scientists with their families, (international) students and (international) guest scientists, the welcome culture will be further developed. A round table „Welcome Culture“, in which the various stakeholders can talk to each other, but also identify deficits, is being strived for here. In this field, it is important to make Dortmund visible as a cultural metropolis. For this reason, the cultural institutions should be more closely involved. At the same time, it is important to dovetail local activities in the region, for example with the dual-career network coordinated by the RVR. The goal is to develop a comprehensive offer that clearly demonstrates Dortmund’s attractiveness as a livable city of science.<\/p>\n

New co-working and exchange spaces for students in the city center will become low-threshold contact points for students to engage with each other as well as civil society. They serve as a bridge between student „learning life“ on campus and the social and cultural life in the city. The project promotes the identification of Dortmund students with their city and enhances the perception of Dortmund as a city of science and a student city. Die Themengruppe unterst\u00fctzt Aktivit\u00e4ten, die einen Beitrag zu mehr Bildungsgerechtigkeit leisten. Mit dem Talent-Scouting<\/strong> haben die TU Dortmund und die FH Dortmund ein wirkungsvolles F\u00f6rderinstrument aufgebaut, das Jugendlichen, unabh\u00e4ngig vom Elternhaus, Bildungswege aufzeigt. Weitere Bausteine sind die Zusammenarbeit der TU mit Adam\u2019s Corner und FH Do hilft.<\/p>Weitere Arbeitsfelder in diesem Bereich:<\/p>
- \u00dcbergang Schule \u2013 Hochschule<\/strong> und die Vernetzung in Richtung Duale Ausbildung.<\/li>
- Die Vermittlung von Wissenschaft an Kinder und Jugendliche in allen Stadtteilen.<\/strong><\/li>
- MINT-F\u00f6rderung, <\/strong>a. im Rahmen der gemeinsamen Aktivit\u00e4ten von FH und TU im Kontext der Bildungsinitiative Ruhr. Diskutiert wird auch eine verst\u00e4rkte Teilnahme an der World Robot Olympiade anzustiften und die Einrichtung einer Zukunftswerkstatt \u201eBerufe von Morgen\u201c.<\/li>
- Im Bereich politische und kulturelle Bildung <\/strong>ist eine Vernetzung der Lehrer*innenbildung der TU Dortmund, der Gedenkst\u00e4ttenarbeit der Stadt und weiterer Akteur*innen vorgesehen. Au\u00dferdem wird eine st\u00e4rkere Mitwirkung der Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften \u00fcber Projekte mit dem Theater und der Museen angestrebt.<\/li><\/ul>

Die k\u00fcnstlerischen Bereiche an den Hochschulen sollen hierdurch sichtbarer werden. Gleicherma\u00dfen spielt die Literaturszene eine wichtige Rolle und es ist vorgesehen, dass die Kulturwissenschaften in der Stadt pr\u00e4senter werden. Formate wie \u201eStadtgespr\u00e4che im Museum\u201c, \u201eBild und Klang\u201c in der Stadtkirche St. Reinoldi sowie die Vortragsreihen des Historischen Vereins zeigen, dass es hierf\u00fcr ein Publikum gibt. Mit den Akteur*innen gemeinsam konzipierte Veranstaltungsreihen an \u201eungew\u00f6hnlichen\u201c Orten sollen Wissenschaft in die verschiedenen Stadtteile bringen.<\/p>
Ein weiteres Augenmerk liegt auf der Auseinandersetzung mit Digitalisierung. Dies betrifft gerade auch die digitalen Angebote der Kultur. Hier werden Austauschformate zwischen den verschiedenen Akteur*innen zunehmend wichtiger. Die Verschr\u00e4nkung zwischen hochschulischen Aktivit\u00e4ten, den Projekten in den Kultureinrichtungen sowie freier Szene ist hier ein dringendes Thema.<\/p>
Ethische Fragen stellen sich u.a. im Zusammenhang mit den wissenschaftlichen Kompetenzfeldern des Masterplans Wissenschaft 2.0. Beispielhaft kann hier das Thema K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz angef\u00fchrt werden. Bei der Wissenschaftskonferenz 2020 wurde das Thema \u201eKI und Ethik\u201c bereits diskutiert. Ethische Fragen sind auch mit den \u00fcbrigen Kompetenzfeldern verbunden (Bildungsgerechtigkeit, Energiewende etc). Es werden Formate entwickelt, in denen diese Fragen thematisiert werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>

Als \u00a0Drehscheibe soll das Dortmunder U<\/strong> der Ort sein, an dem die zentralen Diskussionen und Veranstaltungen stattfinden. Programmatisch werden gleichzeitig andere Orte f\u00fcr die verschiedenen Satelliten ausgebaut.<\/p>Die \u00fcberregionale Sichtbarkeit und Vernetzung wird durch die Gestaltung von und Mitwirkung in Jahresthemen<\/strong> erh\u00f6ht. Diese k\u00f6nnen sich aus lokalen Gro\u00dfthemen (z.B. IGA 2027) oder den bundesweit ausgerufenen Wissenschaftsjahren ergeben.\u00a0 Die Beteiligung an Veranstaltungen zum Thema \u201e1700 Jahre j\u00fcdisches Leben in Deutschland\u201c wurde in der Themengruppe bereits vereinbart.<\/p>Ziel ist eine bessere Vernetzung<\/strong> der bereits vorhandenen Aktivit\u00e4ten und die Sichtbarmachung der einzelnen Institutionen. Bestehende Aktivit\u00e4ten, beispielsweise im Bereich Wissenschaft f\u00fcr Kinder und Jugendliche, sollen pr\u00e4zisiert und im Sinne einer Netzwerkkarte aufeinander bezogen werden.<\/p>Dabei ist auch die Einbindung zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteur*innen vorgesehen. Als Format plant die Themengruppe ein Round-Table \u201eWissenschaftsstadt und Kulturmetropole\u201c zu etablieren und die verschiedenen Institutionen zusammenzubringen.<\/p>

F\u00fcr Wissenschaftler*innen mit ihren Familien, (internationale) Studierende und (internationale) Gastwissenschaftler*innen soll die Willkommenskultur <\/strong>weiter ausgebaut werden. Ein Round-Table \u201eWillkommenskultur\u201c, in dem die verschiedenen Akteur*innen miteinander ins Gespr\u00e4ch kommen, aber auch Defizite identifizieren, wird hier angestrebt. Wichtig ist in diesem Feld Dortmund als Kulturmetropole sichtbar zu machen. Daher sollen die Kulturinstitutionen st\u00e4rker eingebunden werden. Zugleich gilt es, die lokalen Aktivit\u00e4ten auch in der Region zu verzahnen, beispielsweise mit dem Dual-Career-Netzwerk, das vom RVR koordiniert wird. Durch Lern- und Austauschr\u00e4ume f\u00fcr Studierende wird die Innenstadt vielf\u00e4ltig genutzt und bietet niedrigschwellige Anlaufstellen. Sie dienen als Br\u00fccke zwischen dem studentischen \u201eLernleben\u201c am Campus und dem sozialen und kulturellem Leben in der Stadt. Mit dem Projekt wird die Identifikation von Dortmunder Studierenden mit ihrer Stadt gef\u00f6rdert und Dortmund verst\u00e4rkt als Wissenschaftsstadt und Studierendenstadt wahrgenommen. Likewise, the literary scene plays an important role and it is planned that cultural studies will be more present in the city. Formats such as „City Talks in the Museum“, „Image and Sound“ in the City Church of St. Reinoldi and the lecture series of the Historical Society show that there is an audience for this. A series of events taking place at extraoridinary locations will bring science to the various parts of the city.<\/p>\n Another focus is on the responsible use of digitization. This also applies to digital cultural offerings in particular. Here, exchange formats between the various stakeholders are becoming increasingly important. The interlinking of university activities, projects in cultural institutions and the independent scene is an urgent topic here.<\/p>\n Ethical questions arise, among other things, in connection with the scientific fields of competence of the Science Master Plan 2.0. The topic of artificial intelligence can be cited as an example here. The topic of „AI and ethics“ has already been discussed at the Science Conference 2020. Ethical issues are also linked to the other fields of competence (educational justice, energy transition, etc). These can result from local major themes (e.g. IGA \u2013 international Gardening Exhibition \u2013 2027) or the nationally proclaimed \u2018science years\u2019.\u00a0 Participation in events on the topic of „1700 years of Jewish life in Germany“ has already been agreed in the focus group.<\/p>\n The aim is to improve the connection of existing activities and to make the individual institutions more visible. Existing activities, for example in the area of science for children and young people, are to be specified and related to each other in the sense of a network map.<\/p>\n It is also planned to engage more intensely with civil society as well as cultural institutions. At the same time, it is important to dovetail local activities in the region, for example with the dual-career network coordinated by the RVR. Gleicherma\u00dfen spielt die Literaturszene eine wichtige Rolle und es ist vorgesehen, dass die Kulturwissenschaften in der Stadt pr\u00e4senter werden. Formate wie \u201eStadtgespr\u00e4che im Museum\u201c, \u201eBild und Klang\u201c in der Stadtkirche St. Reinoldi sowie die Vortragsreihen des Historischen Vereins zeigen, dass es hierf\u00fcr ein Publikum gibt. Mit den Akteur*innen gemeinsam konzipierte Veranstaltungsreihen an \u201eungew\u00f6hnlichen\u201c Orten sollen Wissenschaft in die verschiedenen Stadtteile bringen.<\/p> Ein weiteres Augenmerk liegt auf der Auseinandersetzung mit Digitalisierung. Dies betrifft gerade auch die digitalen Angebote der Kultur. Hier werden Austauschformate zwischen den verschiedenen Akteur*innen zunehmend wichtiger. Die Verschr\u00e4nkung zwischen hochschulischen Aktivit\u00e4ten, den Projekten in den Kultureinrichtungen sowie freier Szene ist hier ein dringendes Thema.<\/p> Ethische Fragen stellen sich u.a. im Zusammenhang mit den wissenschaftlichen Kompetenzfeldern des Masterplans Wissenschaft 2.0. Beispielhaft kann hier das Thema K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz angef\u00fchrt werden. Bei der Wissenschaftskonferenz 2020 wurde das Thema \u201eKI und Ethik\u201c bereits diskutiert. Ethische Fragen sind auch mit den \u00fcbrigen Kompetenzfeldern verbunden (Bildungsgerechtigkeit, Energiewende etc). Programmatisch werden gleichzeitig andere Orte f\u00fcr die verschiedenen Satelliten ausgebaut.<\/p> Die \u00fcberregionale Sichtbarkeit und Vernetzung wird durch die Gestaltung von und Mitwirkung in Jahresthemen<\/strong> erh\u00f6ht. Diese k\u00f6nnen sich aus lokalen Gro\u00dfthemen (z.B. IGA 2027) oder den bundesweit ausgerufenen Wissenschaftsjahren ergeben.\u00a0 Die Beteiligung an Veranstaltungen zum Thema \u201e1700 Jahre j\u00fcdisches Leben in Deutschland\u201c wurde in der Themengruppe bereits vereinbart.<\/p> Ziel ist eine bessere Vernetzung<\/strong> der bereits vorhandenen Aktivit\u00e4ten und die Sichtbarmachung der einzelnen Institutionen. Bestehende Aktivit\u00e4ten, beispielsweise im Bereich Wissenschaft f\u00fcr Kinder und Jugendliche, sollen pr\u00e4zisiert und im Sinne einer Netzwerkkarte aufeinander bezogen werden.<\/p> Dabei ist auch die Einbindung zivilgesellschaftlicher Akteur*innen vorgesehen. Ein Round-Table \u201eWillkommenskultur\u201c, in dem die verschiedenen Akteur*innen miteinander ins Gespr\u00e4ch kommen, aber auch Defizite identifizieren, wird hier angestrebt. Wichtig ist in diesem Feld Dortmund als Kulturmetropole sichtbar zu machen. Daher sollen die Kulturinstitutionen st\u00e4rker eingebunden werden. Zugleich gilt es, die lokalen Aktivit\u00e4ten auch in der Region zu verzahnen, beispielsweise mit dem Dual-Career-Netzwerk, das vom RVR koordiniert wird.
