Stakeholders include urban society as well as universities, city administration, business, local initiatives and politics. Synergies and cooperations are being used to break new, innovative ground and to tackle the problems and challenges of urban society. Dortmund can thus become a pioneer of scientifically based social innovation and innovative urban development. To kick off the „experimental city“, the aim is to develop places and formats that initiate, promote and provide space for exchange and debate. This is to be done in two directions: The citizens are invited to visit the scientific institutions within the framework of open event formats and to inform themselves about current research topics. In addition, it is planned that representatives of the scientific institutions will meet citizens in their everyday environment.<\/p>\n Concrete projects on site („livinglabs“) will be derived from the debate spaces. In these livinglabs, solutions will be developed and tested experimentally together with the urban society, interested citizens and with the involvement of science. This is to be tested, applied and implemented above all in the SMART RHINO<\/a> pilot project. This concept outlines the future development of the university, science and technology campus in Dortmund and was agreed upon by all stakeholders as a common mission statement. This concept was adopted by the City Council of Dortmund in December 2016. It serves as a joint decision-making basis for the future development of this location and offers scope for individual design wishes. Here, the planned participation formats within the framework of SMART RHINO should be highlighted in particular. The student body is actively involved in the master plan process. In focus group 4, two student representatives are part of the team of spokespersons. Die Akteur*innen in der Stadt sind dabei vielf\u00e4ltig zu denken: Sie umfassen Stadtgesellschaft ebenso wie Hochschulen, Stadtverwaltung, Wirtschaft, lokale Initiativen und Politik. Synergien und Kooperationen sollen genutzt werden, um neue, innovative Wege zu beschreiten und Probleme und Herausforderungen der Stadtgesellschaft anzugehen. Dortmund kann so zum Vorreiter wissenschaftlich fundierter sozialer Innovation und innovativer Stadtentwicklung werden. Zum Auftakt der \u201eexperimentellen Stadt\u201c gilt es, Orte und Formate zu entwickeln, die Austausch und Debatten initiieren, bef\u00f6rdern und Raum geben. Dies soll in zwei Richtungen geschehen: Die B\u00fcrger*innen werden eingeladen im Rahmen von offenen Veranstaltungsformaten die wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen zu besuchen und sich dort \u00fcber aktuelle Forschungsthemen zu informieren. Au\u00dferdem ist vorgesehen, dass die Vertreter*innen der wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen B\u00fcrger*innen in ihrem allt\u00e4glichen Umfeld begegnen.<\/p> Aus den Debattenr\u00e4umen werden konkrete Projekte vor Ort (\u201eReallabore\u201c) abgeleitet. In diesen Reallaboren werden gemeinsam mit stadtgesellschaftlichen Akteur*innen, interessierten B\u00fcrger*innen und unter Einbezug der Wissenschaft L\u00f6sungen erarbeitet und experimentell erprobt. Dies soll vor allem am Pilotprojekt SMART RHINO<\/a> erprobt, angewandt und umgesetzt werden. Hier besteht die Chance, das Zusammenspiel von Leben, Lernen, Forschen und Arbeiten innovativ, smart und digital zu konzipieren und umzusetzen. Vom Rat der Stadt Dortmund wurde dieses Konzept im Dezember 2016 beschlossen. Es dient als gemeinsame Entscheidungsgrundlage f\u00fcr die zuk\u00fcnftige Entwicklung dieses Standortes und bietet Freir\u00e4ume f\u00fcr individuelle Gestaltungsw\u00fcnsche. Hier sind insbesondere die geplanten Beteiligungsformate im Rahmen von SMART RHINO hervorzuheben.
