Dortmund\u2019s economy is particularly characterized by medium-sized companies. In addition, there is a close network of relationships between science and business here. Dortmund companies are actively involved in cooperation measures of the transfer institutions. In recent years, a larger number of knowledge-based startups have settled in the city, benefiting from the networking. The goal is to position the Westphalian science and business area as a Digital Hub and to develop it into an incubator for digitization. This will ensure that companies from the region implement their R&D and, in particular, their activities in the area of digitization in Dortmund. In the past, such business areas were mainly located in the TechnologieZentrumDortmund<\/a> and Technologiepark Dortmund<\/a>.<\/p>\nThe Digital Hub Logistics in the TechnologieZentrumDortmund and the Competence Center 4.0<\/a> offer a complementary offer for direct collaboration with science. In the development of a startup ecosystem in Dortmund, two factors have been positively reinforced in recent years: a very startup-friendly environment at the universities and in the economy in general has led to the emergence of numerous knowledge-intensive companies. In addition, there is an increased interest in startups and their innovations on the part of the public, politics and industry. This has given rise to further initiatives, projects and, in some cases, internationally recognized event formats in Dortmund.<\/p>\n
Through the interplay of excellent basic research, application-oriented research close to the market, a broad range of (startup) teaching, innovative projects and good networking of all relevant partners, a large number of publicly funded projects could be acquired, which further stimulate the startup activity.<\/p>\n
At the supra-regional level, state initiatives such as the ruhr:HUB<\/a> are attempting to make the startup scene of the Ruhr region visible as a unit and thus to develop greater appeal. The South Westphalia strategy of the Economic Development Agency has built a bridge between Dortmund and South Westphalia, which can be attractive for Dortmund startups.<\/p>\nAs part of the Science Master Plan 2.0, a longterm project entitled „Startup ecosystem Dortmund: EVALUATE – CONNECT – MAKE VISIBLE“ is to be initiated. The aim of the project is to review existing structures in order to make opportunities and overlaps visible. Special attention is also paid to the networking of stakeholders and international visibility (see also project profile).<\/p>\n

For many years, numerous institutions in Dortmund have been initiating knowledge and technology transfer to the region, and a close intermeshing of science and business has been taking place at the Science and Technology Campus. There are successful research cooperations and transfer experiences with a large number of companies and networks in Dortmund and the region.<\/p>\n
The transfer to date has been strongly oriented toward technology and innovation, especially with regard to the universities. The „third mission“ calls for a broader transfer approach that also takes into account the transfer of knowledge to society, e.g. through the social commitment of universities that acknowledge their social responsibility. Likewise, there must be a shift in thinking from a supply-oriented to a demand-oriented understanding of transfer.<\/p>\n
Another aspect is the consideration of transfer through the exchange between scientists and specialists and managers as well as activities in the area of recruiting and career service. In addition, the dialogue with citizens contributes to new impulses and sharpens the profile of regional transfer.<\/p>\n
The aim is also to identify and involve new companies with an interest of transfering to Dortmund and the region and thus to strengthen Dortmund and the Westphalian science and business region as a transfer region in Germany. Cooperation partners are important as multipliers for establishing new contacts. The universities can help to create a greater awareness of the opportunities for cooperation.<\/p>\n
As a first project, the working group is planning a transfer network that brings together the participating actors and ensures an exchange about local transfer activities. Through the bundled know-how of the partners, in-depth knowledge about innovative transfer approaches can be localized and developed together and, if necessary, with the help of companies (see also project profile).<\/p>\n

The overarching goal of the Science 2.0 Master Plan is to create a holistic „ecosystem“ of science, business and society. The targeted interaction of these actors is particularly relevant for addressing complex, innovation-driven challenges of modern urban development processes. New technologies permeate all areas of life at ever shorter intervals, with opportunities and challenges for smart cities, smart neighborhoods and smart factories that can only be balanced together to create added value. Shaping cooperation between all actors will be of increasing importance in the future.<\/p>\n
In the „Smart City\/SMART RHINO\/Smart Factory“ working group, the stakeholders focused their cooperation on urban planning processes, which are being developed and demonstrated using the planned SMART RHINO<\/a> neighborhood as an example.<\/p>\nIn this context, the development of a platform (digital and analog) under the title: collective impact platform:urban space dortmund (cip:us.do) has priority. It is the pool in which the existing experiences of the actors are bundled. Available data will be integrated into a digital twin of the smart city or smart neighborhood. For the informed participation of the urban society, additional, also analog offers will be created spatially in the immediate vicinity of the neighborhood. This will provide space for creative participation in addition to the need for information, informal competence building and exchange with experts (see also project profile).<\/p>\n

In the economic and innovation sector, competence centers serve as a central point of contact and are the starting point for new ideas, projects and forward-looking developments. They are also of great importance for the promotion of exchange and the coordination of various actors.<\/p>\n
The establishment and support of competence centers offers operators from business, science and municipalities an opportunity to position themselves in terms of content and to sharpen the profile of the region. In addition to the already established competence centers in Dortmund and the region, new possibilities and opportunities for expanding the regional portfolio are opened up by the facilities currently being established.<\/p>\n
In an initial project, the aim of the working group is to analyze the existing competence centers and fields of competence in Dortmund and the region (see also project profile).<\/p>\n

- Starting from Dortmund, the first concrete Ruhr region-wide industry-oriented hydrogen network has been established up to Duisburg with H2-Ruhr. Here, the role of developing production and transport methods falls to the Dortmund location. AI is playing an increasingly important role in all areas of life in today’s society. Be it in communication, manufacturing, automated mobility or in general „machine learning“, the analysis of sensor data and pattern recognition, etc. Future development will further strengthen this trend. Thus, it is clear that AI will be of elementary importance for a local, regional and national economy that will continue to perform well in the future and thus also shape Dortmund’s structure.<\/p>\n
In Dortmund, there are a large number of stakeholders who are actively pursuing the topic and bringing it into the economy. Transfer takes place at various levels \u2013 from research projects and approaches to competence centers and laboratories. They form an interface to the diverse needs\/problems and the different addressees.<\/p>\n
AI is thus anchored as a cross-cutting topic in focus group 3 and thus acts as an interface to the other focal points. The goal is to transfer the existing know-how to the economy and also to urban society in a (cross-thematic), goal-oriented and user-oriented manner.<\/p>\n

Der Dortmunder Wirtschaftsraum ist besonders stark durch mittelst\u00e4ndische Unternehmen gepr\u00e4gt. Zudem besteht hier ein enges Geflecht an Beziehungen zwischen Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft. Dortmunder Unternehmen werden aktiv in Kooperationsma\u00dfnahmen der Transfereinrichtungen eingebunden. In den vergangenen Jahren hat sich in der Stadt eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Anzahl an wissensbasierten Startups angesiedelt, die von der Vernetzung profitieren. Ziel ist es, den Westf\u00e4lischen Wissenschafts- und Wirtschaftsraum als Digital Hub zu positionieren und zu einem Inkubator f\u00fcr Digitalisierung zu entwickeln. Hierdurch soll erreicht werden, dass Unternehmen aus der Region ihre F+E und insbesondere ihre Aktivit\u00e4ten im Bereich der Digitalisierung am Standort Dortmund umsetzen. Bei der Entwicklung des Startup-\u00d6kosystems in Dortmund haben sich in den letzten Jahren zwei Dinge positiv verst\u00e4rkt: Ein sehr gr\u00fcndungsfreundliches Umfeld an den Hochschulen und in der Wirtschaft hat dazu gef\u00fchrt, dass zahlreiche wissensintensive Unternehmen entstanden sind und weiterhin entstehen. Zudem gibt es ein verst\u00e4rktes Interesse von \u00d6ffentlichkeit, Politik und Wirtschaft an Startups und deren Innovationen. Daraus hervorgegangen sind in Dortmund weitere Initiativen, Projekte und teilweise international anerkannte Veranstaltungsformate.\u00a0<\/p>
Durch das Zusammenspielt von exzellenter Grundlagenforschung, anwendungsorientierter marktnaher Forschung, einem breiten Angebot an (Gr\u00fcndungs-)Lehre, innovativen Projekten und einer guten Vernetzung aller relevanten Partner*innen konnte eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl \u00f6ffentlich gef\u00f6rderter Projekte eingeworben werden, die das Gr\u00fcndungsgeschehen weiter beleben.<\/p>
\u00dcberregional versuchen Landesinitiativen wie der ruhr:HUB<\/a> die Startup-Szene des Ruhrgebiets als Einheit sichtbar zu machen und so eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Strahlkraft zu entfalten. Mit der S\u00fcdwestfalen-Strategie der Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung wurde eine Br\u00fccke zwischen Dortmund und S\u00fcdwestfalen gebaut, die f\u00fcr Dortmunder Startups attraktiv sein kann.<\/p>Im Rahmen des Masterplans Wissenschaft 2.0 soll ein mehrj\u00e4hriges Projekt unter dem Titel \u201eStartup\u00d6kosystem Dortmund: EVALUIEREN \u2013 VERNETZEN \u2013 SICHTBAR MACHEN\u201c <\/strong>angesto\u00dfen werden. Ziel des Projekts ist die \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung vorhandener Strukturen, um Chancen und \u00dcberschneidungen sichtbar zu machen. Seit vielen Jahren sto\u00dfen zahlreiche Einrichtungen in Dortmund den Transfer in die Region an und auf dem Wissenschafts- und Technologiecampus findet eine enge Verzahnung von Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft statt. Es bestehen erfolgreiche Forschungskooperationen und Transfererfahrungen mit einer Vielzahl an Unternehmen und Netzwerken in Dortmund und der Region.<\/p>
Gepr\u00e4gt durch die vornehmlich technischen Schwerpunkte der Hochschulen ist der bisherige Transfer stark auf Technologie und Innovation ausgerichtet. Der Gedanke der \u201eThird Mission\u201c fordert dabei einen breiteren Transferansatz, der auch den Wissenstransfer in die Gesellschaft ber\u00fccksichtigt, z.B. durch das soziale Engagement der Hochschulen, die sich zu ihrer gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung bekennen. Ebenso muss ein Umdenken vom angebotsorientierten hin zu einem nachfrageorientierten Transferverst\u00e4ndnis erfolgen.<\/p>
Ein weiterer Aspekt ist die Ber\u00fccksichtigung des Transfers durch den Austausch zwischen Wissenschaftler*innen und Fach- und F\u00fchrungskr\u00e4ften sowie Aktivit\u00e4ten im Bereich Recruiting und Career Service. Zudem tr\u00e4gt der Dialog mit B\u00fcrger*innen zu neuen Impulsen bei und sch\u00e4rft das Profil des regionalen Transfers.<\/p>
Ziel ist es auch, neue transferinteressierte Unternehmen in Dortmund und der Region zu identifizieren und einzubeziehen und so Dortmund und den westf\u00e4lischen Wissenschaft- und Wirtschaftsraum als Transferregion Deutschlands zu st\u00e4rken. Kooperationspartner*innen sind als Multiplikatoren wichtig, um neue Kontakte zu kn\u00fcpfen. Die Hochschulen k\u00f6nnen dabei unterst\u00fctzen, ein st\u00e4rkeres Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die M\u00f6glichkeiten der Zusammenarbeit herzustellen.<\/p>
Als erstes Projekt plant der Arbeitskreis ein Transfernetzwerk, das die beteiligten Akteur*innen zusammenbringt und einen Austausch \u00fcber die \u00f6rtlichen Transferaktivit\u00e4ten sicherstellt. Durch das geb\u00fcndelte Know-how der Partner*innen k\u00f6nnen vertiefende Kenntnisse \u00fcber innovative Transferans\u00e4tze gemeinsam und gegebenenfalls mit Hilfe von Unternehmen lokalisiert und erarbeitet werden (siehe auch Projektsteckbrief).<\/p>

Das \u00fcbergeordnete Ziel des Masterplans Wissenschaft 2.0 ist die Schaffung eines ganzheitlichen \u201eEcosystems\u201c aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft. Das zielgerichtete Zusammenwirken dieser Akteur*innen ist besonders relevant f\u00fcr die \u00a0Adressierung komplexer, innovationsgetriebener Herausforderungen moderner Stadtentwicklungsprozesse. Neue Technologien durchdringen in immer k\u00fcrzer werdenden Abst\u00e4nden alle Bereiche des Lebens mit Chancen und Herausforderungen f\u00fcr Smart Cities, f\u00fcr smarte Quartiere und Smart Factories, die nur gemeinsam mehrwertstiftend ausbalanciert werden k\u00f6nnen. Die Gestaltung der Zusammenarbeit zwischen allen Akteur*innen wird zuk\u00fcnftig von zunehmender Bedeutung sein.<\/p>
Im Arbeitskreis \u201eSmart City\/SMART RHINO\/Smart Factory\u201c fokussierten die Akteur*innen die Zusammenarbeit auf stadtplanerische Prozesse, die exemplarisch, u.a. am geplanten Quartier SMART RHINO<\/a>, entwickelt und demonstriert werden.<\/p>Priorit\u00e4t hat in diesem Zusammenhang die Entwicklung einer Plattform (digital und analog) unter dem Titel: collective impact platform:urban space dortmund (cip:us.do). Sie ist der Pool, in dem die vorhandenen Erfahrungen der Akteur*innen geb\u00fcndelt werden. Verf\u00fcgbare Daten werden zu einem digitalen Zwilling der Smart City bzw. des Smarten Quartiers integriert. F\u00fcr die informierte Beteiligung der Stadtgesellschaft werden zus\u00e4tzliche, auch analoge Angebote r\u00e4umlich in unmittelbarer N\u00e4he des Quartiers geschaffen. Dadurch werden neben dem Informationsbedarf, dem informellen Kompetenzaufbau und dem Austausch mit Expert*innen Raum f\u00fcr kreative Mitwirkung geschaffen (siehe auch Projektsteckbrief).<\/p>

Im Wirtschafts- und Innovationsbereich dienen Kompetenzzentren als zentrale Anlaufstelle und sind Ausgangspunkt neuer Ideen, Vorhaben und zukunftsweisender Entwicklungen. Von gro\u00dfer Bedeutung sind sie vor allem auch f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung des Austauschs und der Koordination verschiedenster Akteur*innen.<\/p>
Der Aufbau und die Unterst\u00fctzung von Kompetenzzentren bietet Betreibern aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Kommunen eine M\u00f6glichkeit, sich inhaltlich zu positionieren und das Profil der Region zu sch\u00e4rfen. Neben den umf\u00e4nglich bereits etablierten Kompetenzzentren in Dortmund und der Region er\u00f6ffnen sich durch die im Aufbau befindlichen Einrichtungen neue M\u00f6glichkeiten und Chancen zur Erweiterung des regionalen Portfolios.<\/p>
In einem ersten Projektvorhaben ist es das Ziel des Arbeitskreises, die in Dortmund und der Region vorhandenen Kompetenzzentren und Kompetenzfelder zu analysieren (siehe auch Projektsteckbrief).<\/p>

- Erweiterung des Zentrums f\u00fcr Produktionstechnologie<\/strong><\/a><\/li>
- Aufbau eines Digital Campus <\/strong>am Dortmunder Hafen<\/li>
- Realisierung eines Gr\u00fcndungs- und Innovations-Campus<\/strong> in der Speicherstra\u00dfe<\/li>
- Teil dessen ist der geplante DINT-Port<\/strong> (Dive into next technologies) als zentrale Austauschplattform f\u00fcr KMU und Entwickler zu neuen Produktions- und Arbeitsformen und gemeinsam Innovationen. Neuer Technologieschwerpunkt ist hierbei der Digitale Zwilling.<\/li>
- Mit dem Aufbau eines deutschen Rettungsrobotik-Zentrums (DRZ<\/a><\/strong>)<\/strong> entsteht ein Kompetenzzentrum f\u00fcr mobile Robotersysteme innerhalb der zivilen Gefahrenabwehr<\/li>
- software.factory<\/strong><\/a> und Aufbau eines <\/span>Campus f\u00fcr digitale Bildung<\/strong><\/li>
- Ausbau des Kompetenzzentrums f\u00fcr Maschinelles Lernen (ML2R<\/a><\/strong>)<\/strong> der TU Dortmund zum <\/span>KI-Campus NRW<\/strong> in Zusammenarbeit mit Centrum f\u00fcr Entrepreneurship und Transfer (CET) der TU Dortmund<\/span><\/li>
- Ausgehend von Dortmund hat sich das erste konkrete ruhrgebietsweite industrieorientierte Wasserstoffnetzwerk bis Duisburg mit H2-Ruhr<\/strong><\/a> Hierbei f\u00e4llt dem Standort Dortmund die Rolle der Entwicklung von Produktions- und Transportmethoden zu. Hierzu wird in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Netzwerk ein Kompetenz- und Gr\u00fcndungszentrum auf dem <\/span>Cleanport<\/strong> errichtet, um Gr\u00fcndungen aus diesem Themenspektrum anzusiedeln.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

KI nimmt in allen Lebensbereichen der heutigen Gesellschaft eine immer st\u00e4rkere Rolle ein. Sei es in der Kommunikation, der Fertigung, der automatisierten Mobilit\u00e4t oder allgemein \u201eMachine-Learning\u201c, der Analyse von Sensordaten und Musterkennung etc. Die k\u00fcnftige Entwicklung wird diesen Trend noch weiter verst\u00e4rken. Somit wird klar, dass KI f\u00fcr eine auch in Zukunft leistungsf\u00e4hige lokale, regionale und nationale Wirtschaft von elementarer Bedeutung sein und somit auch die Struktur Dortmunds pr\u00e4gen wird.<\/p>
In Dortmund gibt es eine Vielzahl von Akteur*innen, die das Thema aktiv verfolgen und in die Wirtschaft hineintragen. Der Transfer erfolgt hier auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen \u2013 von Forschungsprojekten, \u00fcber Ans\u00e4tze bis hin zu Kompetenzzentren und Laboren. Sie bilden eine Schnittstelle zu den diversen Bedarfen\/Problemstellungen und den unterschiedlichen Adressaten.<\/p>
KI ist also als Querschnittsthema in der Themengruppe 3 verankert und fungiert damit als Schnittstellen zu den Schwerpunkten. Ziel ist es, das vorhandene Know-how (themen-)\u00fcbergreifend, ziel- und nutzerorientiert in die Wirtschaft und auch Stadtgesellschaft zu \u00fcbertragen.<\/p>

This will ensure that companies from the region implement their R&D and, in particular, their activities in the area of digitization in Dortmund. In the past, such business areas were mainly located in the TechnologieZentrumDortmund<\/a> and Technologiepark Dortmund<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Digital Hub Logistics in the TechnologieZentrumDortmund and the Competence Center 4.0<\/a> offer a complementary offer for direct collaboration with science. In addition, there is an increased interest in startups and their innovations on the part of the public, politics and industry. This has given rise to further initiatives, projects and, in some cases, internationally recognized event formats in Dortmund.<\/p>\n Through the interplay of excellent basic research, application-oriented research close to the market, a broad range of (startup) teaching, innovative projects and good networking of all relevant partners, a large number of publicly funded projects could be acquired, which further stimulate the startup activity.<\/p>\n At the supra-regional level, state initiatives such as the ruhr:HUB<\/a> are attempting to make the startup scene of the Ruhr region visible as a unit and thus to develop greater appeal. The South Westphalia strategy of the Economic Development Agency has built a bridge between Dortmund and South Westphalia, which can be attractive for Dortmund startups.<\/p>\n As part of the Science Master Plan 2.0, a longterm project entitled „Startup ecosystem Dortmund: EVALUATE – CONNECT – MAKE VISIBLE“ is to be initiated. The aim of the project is to review existing structures in order to make opportunities and overlaps visible. There are successful research cooperations and transfer experiences with a large number of companies and networks in Dortmund and the region.<\/p>\n The transfer to date has been strongly oriented toward technology and innovation, especially with regard to the universities. The „third mission“ calls for a broader transfer approach that also takes into account the transfer of knowledge to society, e.g. through the social commitment of universities that acknowledge their social responsibility. Likewise, there must be a shift in thinking from a supply-oriented to a demand-oriented understanding of transfer.<\/p>\n Another aspect is the consideration of transfer through the exchange between scientists and specialists and managers as well as activities in the area of recruiting and career service. In addition, the dialogue with citizens contributes to new impulses and sharpens the profile of regional transfer.<\/p>\n The aim is also to identify and involve new companies with an interest of transfering to Dortmund and the region and thus to strengthen Dortmund and the Westphalian science and business region as a transfer region in Germany. Cooperation partners are important as multipliers for establishing new contacts. The universities can help to create a greater awareness of the opportunities for cooperation.<\/p>\n As a first project, the working group is planning a transfer network that brings together the participating actors and ensures an exchange about local transfer activities. The targeted interaction of these actors is particularly relevant for addressing complex, innovation-driven challenges of modern urban development processes. New technologies permeate all areas of life at ever shorter intervals, with opportunities and challenges for smart cities, smart neighborhoods and smart factories that can only be balanced together to create added value. Shaping cooperation between all actors will be of increasing importance in the future.<\/p>\n In the „Smart City\/SMART RHINO\/Smart Factory“ working group, the stakeholders focused their cooperation on urban planning processes, which are being developed and demonstrated using the planned SMART RHINO<\/a> neighborhood as an example.<\/p>\n In this context, the development of a platform (digital and analog) under the title: collective impact platform:urban space dortmund (cip:us.do) has priority. It is the pool in which the existing experiences of the actors are bundled. Available data will be integrated into a digital twin of the smart city or smart neighborhood. For the informed participation of the urban society, additional, also analog offers will be created spatially in the immediate vicinity of the neighborhood. They are also of great importance for the promotion of exchange and the coordination of various actors.<\/p>\n The establishment and support of competence centers offers operators from business, science and municipalities an opportunity to position themselves in terms of content and to sharpen the profile of the region. Thus, it is clear that AI will be of elementary importance for a local, regional and national economy that will continue to perform well in the future and thus also shape Dortmund’s structure.<\/p>\n In Dortmund, there are a large number of stakeholders who are actively pursuing the topic and bringing it into the economy. Daraus hervorgegangen sind in Dortmund weitere Initiativen, Projekte und teilweise international anerkannte Veranstaltungsformate.\u00a0<\/p> Durch das Zusammenspielt von exzellenter Grundlagenforschung, anwendungsorientierter marktnaher Forschung, einem breiten Angebot an (Gr\u00fcndungs-)Lehre, innovativen Projekten und einer guten Vernetzung aller relevanten Partner*innen konnte eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl \u00f6ffentlich gef\u00f6rderter Projekte eingeworben werden, die das Gr\u00fcndungsgeschehen weiter beleben.<\/p> \u00dcberregional versuchen Landesinitiativen wie der ruhr:HUB<\/a> die Startup-Szene des Ruhrgebiets als Einheit sichtbar zu machen und so eine gr\u00f6\u00dfere Strahlkraft zu entfalten. Mit der S\u00fcdwestfalen-Strategie der Wirtschaftsf\u00f6rderung wurde eine Br\u00fccke zwischen Dortmund und S\u00fcdwestfalen gebaut, die f\u00fcr Dortmunder Startups attraktiv sein kann.<\/p> Im Rahmen des Masterplans Wissenschaft 2.0 soll ein mehrj\u00e4hriges Projekt unter dem Titel \u201eStartup\u00d6kosystem Dortmund: EVALUIEREN \u2013 VERNETZEN \u2013 SICHTBAR MACHEN\u201c <\/strong>angesto\u00dfen werden. Es bestehen erfolgreiche Forschungskooperationen und Transfererfahrungen mit einer Vielzahl an Unternehmen und Netzwerken in Dortmund und der Region.<\/p> Gepr\u00e4gt durch die vornehmlich technischen Schwerpunkte der Hochschulen ist der bisherige Transfer stark auf Technologie und Innovation ausgerichtet. Der Gedanke der \u201eThird Mission\u201c fordert dabei einen breiteren Transferansatz, der auch den Wissenstransfer in die Gesellschaft ber\u00fccksichtigt, z.B. durch das soziale Engagement der Hochschulen, die sich zu ihrer gesellschaftlichen Verantwortung bekennen. Ebenso muss ein Umdenken vom angebotsorientierten hin zu einem nachfrageorientierten Transferverst\u00e4ndnis erfolgen.<\/p> Ein weiterer Aspekt ist die Ber\u00fccksichtigung des Transfers durch den Austausch zwischen Wissenschaftler*innen und Fach- und F\u00fchrungskr\u00e4ften sowie Aktivit\u00e4ten im Bereich Recruiting und Career Service. Zudem tr\u00e4gt der Dialog mit B\u00fcrger*innen zu neuen Impulsen bei und sch\u00e4rft das Profil des regionalen Transfers.<\/p> Ziel ist es auch, neue transferinteressierte Unternehmen in Dortmund und der Region zu identifizieren und einzubeziehen und so Dortmund und den westf\u00e4lischen Wissenschaft- und Wirtschaftsraum als Transferregion Deutschlands zu st\u00e4rken. Kooperationspartner*innen sind als Multiplikatoren wichtig, um neue Kontakte zu kn\u00fcpfen. Die Hochschulen k\u00f6nnen dabei unterst\u00fctzen, ein st\u00e4rkeres Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die M\u00f6glichkeiten der Zusammenarbeit herzustellen.<\/p> Als erstes Projekt plant der Arbeitskreis ein Transfernetzwerk, das die beteiligten Akteur*innen zusammenbringt und einen Austausch \u00fcber die \u00f6rtlichen Transferaktivit\u00e4ten sicherstellt. Neue Technologien durchdringen in immer k\u00fcrzer werdenden Abst\u00e4nden alle Bereiche des Lebens mit Chancen und Herausforderungen f\u00fcr Smart Cities, f\u00fcr smarte Quartiere und Smart Factories, die nur gemeinsam mehrwertstiftend ausbalanciert werden k\u00f6nnen. Die Gestaltung der Zusammenarbeit zwischen allen Akteur*innen wird zuk\u00fcnftig von zunehmender Bedeutung sein.<\/p> Im Arbeitskreis \u201eSmart City\/SMART RHINO\/Smart Factory\u201c fokussierten die Akteur*innen die Zusammenarbeit auf stadtplanerische Prozesse, die exemplarisch, u.a. am geplanten Quartier SMART RHINO<\/a>, entwickelt und demonstriert werden.<\/p> Priorit\u00e4t hat in diesem Zusammenhang die Entwicklung einer Plattform (digital und analog) unter dem Titel: collective impact platform:urban space dortmund (cip:us.do). Sie ist der Pool, in dem die vorhandenen Erfahrungen der Akteur*innen geb\u00fcndelt werden. Verf\u00fcgbare Daten werden zu einem digitalen Zwilling der Smart City bzw. des Smarten Quartiers integriert. Von gro\u00dfer Bedeutung sind sie vor allem auch f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung des Austauschs und der Koordination verschiedenster Akteur*innen.<\/p> Der Aufbau und die Unterst\u00fctzung von Kompetenzzentren bietet Betreibern aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Kommunen eine M\u00f6glichkeit, sich inhaltlich zu positionieren und das Profil der Region zu sch\u00e4rfen. Sei es in der Kommunikation, der Fertigung, der automatisierten Mobilit\u00e4t oder allgemein \u201eMachine-Learning\u201c, der Analyse von Sensordaten und Musterkennung etc. Die k\u00fcnftige Entwicklung wird diesen Trend noch weiter verst\u00e4rken. Somit wird klar, dass KI f\u00fcr eine auch in Zukunft leistungsf\u00e4hige lokale, regionale und nationale Wirtschaft von elementarer Bedeutung sein und somit auch die Struktur Dortmunds pr\u00e4gen wird.<\/p> In Dortmund gibt es eine Vielzahl von Akteur*innen, die das Thema aktiv verfolgen und in die Wirtschaft hineintragen. Der Transfer erfolgt hier auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen \u2013 von Forschungsprojekten, \u00fcber Ans\u00e4tze bis hin zu Kompetenzzentren und Laboren. Sie bilden eine Schnittstelle zu den diversen Bedarfen\/Problemstellungen und den unterschiedlichen Adressaten.<\/p> KI ist also als Querschnittsthema in der Themengruppe 3 verankert und fungiert damit als Schnittstellen zu den Schwerpunkten.
